A score of Spanish entrepreneurs and their sustainable fashion brands are the protagonists of Wstore, a project aimed at bringing consumers and emerging talents closer together. The initiative has already begun operating on WStore.es, an online marketplace for sustainable fashion where you can find garments and accessories for both women and men.

Although only the digital store has been launched so far, its creators plan to take the project to the streets by the end of this year. The first physical pop-up in Spain will be next December in Madrid, and from then on, they will be popping up in the main Spanish and European cities. What do they aim to achieve? Uniting the online with the offline and connecting users with the brands and the young talents behind them.

Borja Battle, Miryam Cuatrecasas, and Jan Barthe created the platform with the idea of satisfying new consumers, those who seek not only a garment, a jewel, or a pair of sneakers but experiences, stories, and added value in each product they acquire. That’s why they conceived Wstore as a springboard for new brands and young designers who are committed to creativity, values, personality, and sustainability in their garments. In the words of Borja Battle:

Brands are committed to their values and with unique products that reflect their essence and authenticity.

Wstore: a growing online marketplace for sustainable fashion

To date, the online store provides access to 17 independent Spanish brands, although they plan to expand their network to over 80 fashion, accessories, and interior design brands. Among those currently available on the website, we can highlight some.

Tecla Barcelona

This brand creates handcrafted bags and wallets of different sizes and shapes for everyday use and special events. The most original aspect of their products is that you can customize them with your initials at no additional cost.

Neutrale

With just over a year of existence, this brand handcrafts unisex T-shirts and sweatshirts. Sportswear with timeless designs and quality materials.

Rice

All Rice boots and sneakers are 100% handmade in Spain in the same local and traditional factories since 1919, reinventing the traditional espadrille from the early 20th century. The highlight of their models is their exclusive Mama Sole sole, very lightweight and comfortable.

Flip&flip

Flip&flip’s sustainable backpacks combine functionality and elegance. They are made from reused truck tarps and solar awnings, so the pieces are made in limited editions depending on the availability of the material. The straps are made of recycled leather.

Beti Guasch

Beti Guasch’s jewelry pieces are unique and determined by the proportions and shapes of the natural stones used to make them. The designer adapts the treatment to the stone itself, so the different necklaces, earrings, and rings can vary within each collection. The result? Unique and balanced pieces inspired by the Mediterranean Sea.

Hemper

Hemper is the largest and most well-known company you can find on Wstore right now. You may recognize their backpacks, but you might not be familiar with their philosophy and the social work behind their designs. Hemper backpacks are handmade in Nepal with 100% natural hemp fiber. They are made by communities at risk of social exclusion, and 20% of the company’s profits go to social projects for the community.

Feel Wood

Feel Woodcrafts its wooden watches by hand using natural and sustainable materials. They are very lightweight and comfortable and are treated with oils to protect them against stains and splashes, although they are not waterproof. Additionally, the brand collaborates with the One Tree Planted Reforestation Association, so with each watch sold, a tree is planted, contributing to the environment and global warming.

The Shearline

The Shearline is a denim fashion brand from Barcelona that combines innovative, colorful, and original designs with a return to sustainable production. Their garments are produced in limited editions and are produced in Spain.
