Bright colours, technology and modernity: these watch trends will define what we wear in 2022.
Watches are an accessory that, as well as being functional, allow us to elevate any look. Every year brings new trends and for this summer 2022 we bring you several options that we have loved.
Big Bang Unico Summer Purple by Hublot
This summer you’ll be on trend with Hublot’s new release: Big Bang Unico in purple. The bright, bold colours make this watch the perfect accessory for the spring-summer 2022 season. This fresh and colourful approach is the basis and inspiration for Hublot’s “Summer in the city” campaign, as well as for the new edition of the classic Big Bang Unico, now available in a total violet that will make anyone fall in love. Its satin-brushed purple case is made of aluminium, a lightweight yet modern material.
To match this all-violet accessory, Hublot sells the Big Bang Unico watch with two straps in the same colour. The first is made of Velcro with matching stitching and closed with a sporty buckle. Another in the brand’s distinctive natural rubber, with a One Click buckle, an interchangeable fastening system patented by Hublot.
With a 42mm aluminium case, polished, satin-finished and anodised all violet, it offers outstanding protection against scratches and impacts.
The Big Bang Unico Summer Purple watch will be available in a limited edition of 200 pieces from June, available in Hublot’s online e-boutique and in the brand’s 125 boutiques.
Hublot also presents another limited edition Big Bang Samuel Ross in orange, representing energy and optimism.
The elegant and distinctive hexagon shape of the Big Bang case is reflected in the honeycomb titanium mesh used on the sapphire dial, case, case back and strap.
The lightweight, openworked titanium structure and the rubber strap guarantee maximum comfort for this model. Inside it beats at a frequency of 3 Hz the patented 282-component HUB6035 calibre, which offers a power reserve of 72 hours. Only 50 pieces will be produced, each of which represents a true work of art that brings a new perspective and introduces a new visual language to the world of watchmaking.
More than a decade ago the brand introduced“Hublot Loves Art” and has since collaborated with some of the most prestigious artists and designers. The latest creator to join this effort is Samuel Ross who in 2019, Ross won the prestigious Hublot Design Prize, and a year later was named an official brand ambassador.

Iced Sea 1858 by Montblanc, the luxury sports diver
When it came to imagining a new sports diver’s watch, Montblanc did not seek inspiration in tropical waters, but climbed up to the glacial lakes of the Mont Blanc massif. Following the route up the Chamonix valley to the Sea of Ice glacier, the Maison’s designers were captivated by the texture of the ice and its intricate structure of crystals frozen over thousands of years.
Thus was born the Iced Sea 1858, a watch with an “icy” dial in three available colours – blue, green and black – representing different shades of glacial ice. It comes with an interchangeable V-shaped stainless steel bracelet, which can be quickly and easily replaced with a rubber strap, and can be adjusted to fit the wrist for ideal wearability over a wetsuit.
Iced Sea 1858 is not only a sports watch, but also an instrument approved for measuring time while diving, resistant to shocks, magnetic fields, temperature and water up to 300 metres deep. Iced Sea 1858 is not only a sports watch, but also an instrument approved for measuring time while diving, resistant to shocks, magnetic fields, temperature and water up to 300 metres deep.
