This new collection of writing instruments, but also watches, leather goods and limited edition accessories is inspired by the motto: “Writing opens up a world of possibilities. Let’s share this precious gift.

Goal: the education of 5 million children

The new Montblanc collection aims to work with UNICEF to help more than 5 million children around the world to learn, to give them the precious gift of writing and thus open up an infinite range of possibilities for their future.

To present the 2017 proposal, based on the power of writing, its universal character and its power to change, there could be no better place than a library, and in this case the most emblematic in the Big Apple: the New York Public Library – Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.

Writing as a universal fact

It can be said that the list of attendees meant that the different continents of the world were represented, that is, all the places that this initiative wants to reach. UNICEF’s projects aim to reach every corner of the world where there is a lack of education and where children’s education needs to be improved.

Montblanc wants to be part of this global effort and has designed a collection in which the first letter of six different alphabets plays an important role. In other words, the first letter that the vast majority of the world’s children have to learn to write.

Montblanc has been working with UNICEF since 2004

This is not the first time Montblanc has collaborated with UNICEF. In fact, the brand has promoted several initiatives since 2004, and so far its donations to educational programmes exceed 10 million dollars.

This amount will be increased with this new campaign, which will run from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018. In other words, twelve months in which the sale of each of the products in the new collection will mean an amount of money donated to educational programmes for the most disadvantaged, and for whom learning to write becomes a real gift.

To see in detail each of the proposals of the new collection consult the Montblanc website. And all these products will be available in Montblanc boutiques around the world.

But there is still another way to collaborate with this laudable cause. It is to express your support for this campaign by writing a note with your most emotional memory related to writing and then post it either on Montblanc’s Facebook, or on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #Passiton #Montblanc #UNICEF #foreverychild.
