We bring you several options to wear a perfect après ski look during your mountain getaways.
With the cold and snow comes the time to go to the mountains to ski and spend a few days enjoying nature. The après ski has its origins in the late 80s in Austria and, currently, we find most ski resorts with local ski slopes where they celebrate parties, offer a varied cuisine, concerts with artists, DJs and more.
We show you a selection of après ski stylish garments to go out after an intense day of sport.
Knitwear, a ski slope staple
The jerseys are a very versatile and easy to combine garment and, in addition, they adapt to all styles and people. There are printed, colored, plain, short-sleeved, long-sleeved, with turn-down collar …. An obvious choice but that can be surprising, like those of the brands that we show you below.
Chanel proposes a short-sleeved cropped sweater with winter motifs that can be combined by playing with layers. With a long-sleeved piece underneath, the look is complete in an aesthetic and easy way.
This trend has also entered strongly into the world of men’s fashion. Fred Perry, a brand with much history, presents its Men’s Reissues collection inspired by a reinterpretation of the models with which the brand sponsored skier Francisco Fernández Ochoa at the 1972 Olympic Games in Sapporo, Japan. We find pieces like the Fair Isle crew neck sweater, its new version made with thick knit, more oversized and with a snowflake print with the mythical laurel of the brand embroidered.
Prada proposes a wool and cashmere sweater with jaqcuard motifs in brown and yellow. Ralph Lauren also launches a plush sweater in black and white colors perfect for keeping warm while relaxing after a long day of skiing.
Duvets
Miu Miu offers a quilted nylon down jacket with a star print in shades of beige, pink and purple. The Gucci collaborates withThe North Face to create a colorful and surprising après ski collection, like this women’s down jacket in yellow. Prada launches a cropped nylon jacket in electric blue.
For them, the Canadian Classics brand brings out a collection ideal for the winter vacations. They are made with waterproof material and self-sealing zippers. We highlight the down jackets with reflective effect and that change color depending on the light. Gucci collaborates with The North Face to create a down jacket in green and red. Diesel launches a loose-fitting down jacket in red and orange tones.
Vests
For sunnier days, lighter garments, such as vests, are ideal. There is also a wide variety of models and designs. More sporty, as the brand Jetset or the collaboration of Gucci x The North Face, or more boho chic style, as Antik Batik. This brand is based on the use of natural materials and tries to embody the globetrotting woman.
In men’s fashion, jackets are also a very versatile garment. Balmain, Moncler or Kapital present several options.
Oversize
One of the trends that arrives with more force is the oversize clothing, all those clothes that are loose and even seem too big for our size. Miu Miu launches a faux fur jacket and oversize cut, Diesel has created a quilted coat in black and light blue and The North Face x Gucci offers a coat in brown tones.
Monogram
Monogram total looks are still on trend, and now they are adapted to après ski fashion. Balmain offers a total look of jacket, pants, boots and monogram backpack, combined with a green sweater. Gucci x The North Face presents a down jacket, pants and monogram backpack combined with a pink and purple beanie and black boots.
Boots
We can not forget the feet to complete our après ski look. The best options are waterproof and lined boots. We see them made of leather or rubber, mostly, and with sheepskin or suede.
Now it’s up to you to decide what to wear to get your perfect après ski look and enjoy your snowy vacations.
