The Guest by Ricardo Cavolo
Ricardo Cavolo, who signs the two new The Guest, says: .
When I received the invitation to create two pieces for The Guest collection, I knew I had to do my best to rise to the challenge.
The result are two pieces of lively colors in which the artist pours his renowned iconography full of singular characters with several eyes, hearts and flames of fire. Although his art and all its symbology are very social, for his collaboration with Lladró he wanted to represent his wife and son. True to his colorful imaginary full of legends, fantastic natures and tattooed beings. .
She, is depicted as a beautiful Armenian queen. The warm colors, the vibrant red and the symbolism present charge the figure with strength, light and energy. In addition, the piece representing her little boy (smaller in size) projects peace and imagination in a universe of fantastic mountains, volcanoes, flowers and stars.
With this collaboration, Lladró adds one more name to the list of designers who have given new life to one of its most iconic pieces.
