The sport trend is still going since comfort became a priority. We keep a lifestyle based on movement; in our daily life we are active people, working, doing the shopping, practising sport, keeping our houses clean or even taking care of our own family.

Our daily lifestyle is becomig our gym, and this is why nowadays there’s a need to bring back the tracksuit.

This time, the “trashy tracksuit” disappears and allows for luxury and sophistication to come in, which had had very little to do before with this style of clothing.

One of the rescued icons are the lateral stripes we recall from the nineties, when baggy trousers with this pattern were a must have, ruled mostly by Adidas.

This time sports brands have released collaborations with singers and actresses to revive streetwear with sporty clothing.

Amongst the most famous collaborations we can find Rihanna for PUMA, as a creative director. Her shoes and clothing designs sold out in less than 3 hours when the collection was released last September 14th.
The brand and the artist have both confirmed in several interviews that they are bringing back the classic Puma style, personalizing it following the singer’s perspective.

There was some especulation about the business that the british brand and the signer were doing, and now there isn’t any more doubts: Beyoncé will be in charge of the sportswear style that will be released next April. The collection will be sold in over 20 countries, and a huge success of the collaboration is expected.

The fitness culture expands. Even the more romantic women have succumbed under its style, because both designers and fashion brands have turned these clothing items into luxurious, modern and elegant styles. Even though it may seem contradictory, the blend of both trends allows for collections ready to go out in the streets, spending all day comfortably while still keeping your sophisticate flair intact.

Looking nice doesn’t have to mean seams bothering you with scratching, or simply not allowing you to bend with total freedom. Not anymore.

¡Paris, one of fashion’s capitals, was filled with sportswear!
2016’s runways were filled with several proposals of this athletic trend. The stripes on the side we mentioned before, were one of the stars of the runway.Chloé, Tommy Hilfiguer or Nicole Miller are some of the designers that have signed up onto the nineties trend.

CHLo.NIC.TOMAlexander Wang has jumped on the train of this trend and has translated it beautifully into his style. His clothing items couldn’t possibly be more individualized to Wangs’s style.

Meanwhile, Lacoste and Ashish, brands that have us more used to this aesthetic, have jumped on the trend as well and have created what we could call “sport chic“. They are another example of the renovation of classic brands.

LAC.ASHThe best advice we can give the wearer for the correct use of these clothing items is to avoid the total look, which could look excessive; but if you mix and match it with other styles in your closet you will most definitely be succesful in your combination.
