On November 21, the new Puma x Balmain collection will go on sale, a collaboration in which Cara Delevingne has also participated. The two iconic firms join forces for the first time to create two limited edition capsule collections designed by Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain, and actress and model Cara Delevigne. Fashion and sport come together more than ever in this collaboration.

Puma and Balmain team up for Cara Delevingne

The Puma x Balmain designs are inspired by boxing and unite the sporty style of Puma, with the luxury of Balmain couture and the strength and spirit of Cara Delevingne. The relationship of the model with both brands is more than remarkable. With Puma, she has been working since 2016. She has been the image of several collections and launches, although this is the first time she launches into the design part.

His union with Balmain and, above all, with Olivier Rousteing, is even more intense. The designer has pointed out that there is no modern style icon who better embodies the “troublemaker” theme. The two, Olivier and Cara, have worked together on a number of projects in recent seasons, with the model fronting campaigns, closing runway shows, starring in videos and even collaborating on the design of special editions for Balmain.

The toughness of boxing and the sophistication of haute couture come together

The two collections are made up of garments, accessories and sneakers in a strong color palette. Red, blue, black and white predominate. The harshness of the tones and concept of the collection is softened by the brightness of the fabrics, the golden touches  and the haute couture design elements.
