We are entering the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre, a benchmark in holistic and integrative medicine.

Holistic health is the harmonious state of mind, body, and spirit. It is about achieving physiological and psychological well-being and also a sociological, environmental, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual one. Therefore, the holistic medical approach must treat all these areas of a person, seeing it as an integrated whole and taking into account its atmosphere and the environmental factors that surround it. Integrative medicine tries to incorporate the techniques of traditional Hindu medicine, such as Ayurveda, homeopathy, naturopathy, Siddha and Unani with complementary therapies such as yoga, acupuncture, dietetics, or reflexology. A good example of a project that integrates all this is Soukya.

Several illnesses are treated within its facilities

All these treatments are individually studied and focused on each person so that they stimulate the healing power and provide the patient with a new healthier lifestyle.

The center specializes in the treatment of illnesses such as arthritis, asthma, cardiac hypertension, diabetes, liver cirrhosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and detoxification. But it also has wellness programs that include detox, rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments, stress and weight management.

It has an international prestige since 2012 because it has been accredited by the NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers), being the first AYUSH Hospital (Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Siddha and Yoga & Naturopathy) to obtain this accreditation.

All the treatments that are provided are studied by patient according to his/her needs. A personalized and natural treatment to take care of the body, mind and spirit in a unique environment. The techniques of Yoga, Breathing, Meditation and Relaxation are taught free of charge by the center’s naturopath doctors.

To complete this holistic life experience, they use ecological techniques, such as the use of solar energy, solar water heaters, rainwater collection systems, composting techniques and pest control. Alcohol and tobacco are not allowed.

The facilities are located in a large natural area

But, undoubtedly, one of the great strengths of Soukya is its location. Located in Bangalore, in the South of India, it is situated in the middle of a certified organic farm that has over 12 hectares. The rooms are spacious and have private gardens.

Organic gardens with more than 800 fruit trees, aromatic and herbaceous plants.

In its gardens, 800 different species of trees and plants are grown, providing 80% of the ingredients needed for the production of Ayurvedic oils and medicines. In addition, this great natural space is the perfect scenario for two kilometers of paths through which patients can walk.

More than 3,000 trees and avenues with more than 500 floral trees keep the exterior flowery throughout the year, inviting guests to return year after year.
