The dancer and choreographer Sara Baras is the inspiration behind one of the most fascinating travelling, musical and gastronomic experiences of recent times. It is no wonder that its ideologist has called it “The most difficult yet”, a fusion of the world of gastronomy, entertainment and dance inside an AVE train. An event that will take place between 9 and 12 November 2019.
The 9 Michelin star train
The event has been devised by Álvaro Montero, currently linked to the world of gastronomy as director of La Cala de Albert Adrià and ambassador of Payoyo cheese. In other years, Montero has already been able to capture the gastronomic links that unite such disparate territories as Catalonia and Andalusia, but now he wanted to go a step further, to make “The most difficult yet”.

Álvaro Montero, alma mater of the event “Even more difficult”
All to create a surprising tribute to Sara Baras that will begin on 9 November aboard the special privatised AVE train between Barcelona and Seville. It will then continue with an intense programme of flamenco and gastronomy in Jerez de la Frontera and Cadiz. A very tasty trip in which the big star will be Sara Baras herself, but there are also many other notable names. After all, up to 9 chefs will be taking part, all of them with their Michelin stars at the entrance of restaurants in different parts of Spain.
The tastiest train
This musical and gastronomic journey will start in Barcelona-Sants. From there the hours of travel to Seville will pass very quickly thanks to the Flower Power Bubble Train party. And above all, there will be the opportunity to taste some of the best Andalusian delicacies. From acorn-fed ham to Payoyo cheese or Amelié oysters.

The chefs Juanlu Fernández, Rafa Zafra and Álvaro Rivera
And on board you will be able to taste some of the creations of the Cádiz chef Álvaro Rivera. A representative of the fusion of flavours that will permeate the entire event. Just as in Sara Baras’ dance, today’s cuisine blends all kinds of influences. It is true that Andalusian cuisine will predominate during this journey, but other Spanish cuisines will also be present, and even further afield, from Mexico and Japan.
The González Byass winery in Jerez
Once in Seville, the journey continues to Jerez de la Frontera. There, dinner awaits us at chef Juanlu Fernández’s restaurant Lú, Cocina y Alma. And there is also the González Byass winery. There, the following day, after an intense tour guided by its oenologist, Sara Baras herself will perform.

The honoree Sara Baras
Impossible to find a better stage to enjoy all her duende! However, the following day the Cadiz-born singer will perform again. But this time in the city of Cádiz itself, in an enclave like the Baluarte de los Mártires overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The Tapas of the Stars
Both shows by Sara Baras, in Jerez and Cádiz, will culminate with performances by some of the best Spanish chefs. In Jerez, the so-called “Tapas of the stars” will be tasted – a designation that reminds us that all the chefs who will prepare them have one or more Michelin stars to their credit. Alberto Raurich, Albert Adrià, Carles Abellán, Nandu Jubany, Paco Méndez, Andreu Genestra, Rafa Zafra, as well as the aforementioned Juanlu Fernández and Álvaro Rivera will be there.
