Facial rhinestones are the new make-up trend you’ll want to wear to every festival;
Summer is full of festivals: from Coachella, Primavera Sound, Tomorrowland and Arenal Sound. These events are the perfect occasion to give free rein to our imagination and create some of the most creative outfits. To accompany your outfits, we bring you one of the funniest makeup trends and ideal for your festival looks: facial rhinestones. Complement your make-up with shimmer and rhinestones for the face and you’ll be a hit at every festival.
Maxicoleta and glitter
One of the ideas we bring you is the one that actress Marta Hazas wore at the Malaga Film Festival. To go with her graphic eye-liner in mauve and turquoise, she applied stones in different sizes that started at the side of her temple and climbed towards her hair. She wore a maxicoleta in four sections, a striking hairstyle that culminates with a trail of crystals as an ornament. With an updo like a ponytail, a high bun or a braid and this make-up you will get a look that will attract all eyes.
Rhinestone eyeliner
During the Malaga Film Festival, Marta Hazas wasn’t the only one who opted for make-up with a touch of sparkle. The actress Blanca Suárez also wanted to go for rhinestones and opted for natural eyes but starring a “floating” eye-liner with silver applications. The make-up that accompanied this eye-liner was natural skin with contouring that highlighted the face and a matte nude lip gloss.
Luminous cheekbones
Another simpler but equally glamorous option was worn by influencer and fashion designer Rocío Osorno. She opted for a juicy skin with a soft blush on the cheeks, sharp eyebrows and a black eye-liner with pink and white shades of shadow. To finish this make-up, a labial in nude with a matte finish was applied and as the most striking detail, crystals glued upwards from the cheek to the tail of the eyebrow..
Haute Couture and rhinestones
Not only influencers and celebrities have joined the trend, but luxury fashion houses have also included it in their catwalk shows. This is the case of Fendi, who incorporated an eye-catching rhinestone make-up look on the Paris Haute Couture catwalk.
The models paraded with their faces covered in sparkling appliqués. These crystals were the stars of the looks, as the models wore a very natural face, with luminous skin and a brushed brow. The applications were Swarovski crystals randomly scattered all over the face.
