With porcelain as its main material, Lladró surprises with the wide variety of products it offers and the artistic creativity it demonstrates in each one of them. The firm presents a new showroom in Barcelona “Lladró lifestyle” an innovative space in which to approach the latest trends in design and which has porcelain as the absolute protagonist. An ideal place to stroll among some of its last novelties.
The architect Hector Ruiz has designed this showroom, who also designed the boutique on Madrid’s Golden Mile, which opened a year ago.
The most classic pieces are the high porcelain sculptures, a clear demonstration of their virtuoso craftsmanship. But its offer is much more extensive and increasingly innovative. The decorative figures of avant-garde design stand out. The best known? Those that make up the “The Guest” collection. Two new members are added to this family of small and colorful humanoids: one in gold and black and the other in ultraviolet (Pantone Color of 2018) and yellow.
Much more than decorative figures
But decoration is not the only function that Lladró porcelain fulfills. Over the years, they have been expanding their collection of products and providing them with utility in the home. From lighting to candles, diffusers and even their own fragrances.
Its Light&Scent line has been the protagonist of some of its latest launches. The Boletus liquid diffusers have been the latest addition to the Lladró olfactory universe. These small and original mushrooms combine white matte porcelain with a shiny gold on top. A few drops of perfume on the base and the room is filled with the aromas of On the prairie, Night Approches and Gardens of Valencia, the three fragrances that accompany these unique pieces.
The birds of The Parrot Party are also expanding their particular ecosystem. These original candles with little parrots as protagonists now come in two new colors: blue and red. Both have a glossy finish and the same fragrance ideal for spring, On the prairie, which blends notes of bergamot, basil, thyme and vetiver. The porcelain containers, with minimalist lines, contain 1,500 grams of natural wax that can last 340 hours and includes up to 15% perfume in its formulation.
Lladró porcelain bets on innovation
To all these novelties, joins the NightBloom collection, the result of its collaboration with the Dutch Marcel Wanders, one of the great figures of contemporary design. The lighting pieces that make it up were presented last February at the Maison & Object in Paris and will go on sale in April.
Lladró porcelain has become a flagship of Spanish luxury design and each of its launches is a demonstration of the versatility of porcelain and its infinite design possibilities.
