Lady Gaga along with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen are organizing “One World: Together at Home” to raise money to support healthcare workers on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lady Gaga will be joined by a long list of artists and celebrities during the concert “One World: #TogetherAtHome” such as Elton John, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, David Beckham, Idris Elba, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, Usher, Pharrell Williams and Oprah Winfrey, among others.
The concert will air a two-hour special this Saturday, April 18 at 20:00 where each artist will perform on the RRSS.
There will be a pre-show starting at 2:00 p.m. for six hours broadcast prior to the virtual concert. The pre-show will also include performances by musicians such as John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Sheryl Crow, The Killers, Luis Fonsi, Charlie Puth, Hozier, Annie Lennox and more.
In the last seven days almost 33 million euros have been raised and will go to WHO emergency funds to buy protective equipment, treatments to increase laboratory capacities to buy tests, test for children, for research and development the goal is to double the pandemic.
The concert will be broadcast on ABC, NBC, CBS and international stations. It will also be available on free channels such as Playz (from RTE), YouTube, MTV’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple Music, Paramount Network, MTV and Comedy Central.
