Meet Mascaró, a company with more than 100 years of experience in handcrafted footwear

On the island of Menorca, where history intertwines with the sea breeze and enchanting landscapes, a unique connection between artisan tradition and footwear emerges. In this Mediterranean corner, known for its coves of turquoise waters and its rich cultural heritage, a firm with more than 100 years of experience in the art of making shoes was born: Mascaró. The premium footwear brand reinvents itself and renews its image with a wide collection of shoes and handbags for every type of woman.

Proximity, quality and craftsmanship

The craftsmanship is part of the essence of Mascaró and its products are made in a process involving more than 60 craftsmen and craftswomen. Each pair is carefully manufactured on the island of Menorca and has managed toexpand worldwide. In 2018 they turned 100 years old and in 2021 they approved a new 5-year strategic plan to continue growing: “to be able to compete in the world, we have to gain in size”, says Lluís Pascual CEO of Mascaró for Modaes.

Mascaró is inspired by nature, architecture and art to create its collections. They aspire to recreate an elegant beauty without stridency and their models combine tradition and design framed within an affordable luxury. From flirty kitten heels to dominant high-top boots, through classic moccasins or patent Mary Janes, the brand offers shoes suitable for any time of the day. For a day at the office, heeled sandals or loafers are the ideal footwear. If on the other hand you need a party option, animal print boots or heels with rhinestones will make your outfit the center of attention.

In addition, along with its new designs, Mascaró presents a fresh and renewed corporate image. After a long time working on the restyling of the brand, the firm presents a new logo; more minimalist but retaining its essence. To accompany it, they debut with their first store in a shopping center. L’illa Diagonal in Barcelona has been chosen to host Mascaró’s new space. It has a furniture based on light shelves and decorative furniture.
