Founded in 2014 by the eponymous designer, Marina Hoermanseder is a women’s fashion brand based in Berlin. The work of the young Franco-Austrian designer, presents a perplexing individualism that combines the finest handcrafted sophistication with eccentric and elegante designs.
As soon as she completed her Master in Business, the Viennese designer continued her studies at the School of Fashion ESMOD in Berlin and completed even more her vocational education in the London’s Central St. Martins College. After a probationary period with great success in Alexander McQueen and having participated in several international Fashion Weeks including the Salon de Cuir in Paris, Berlin-Dubai Fashion Festival by the Goethe Institute, London Graduate Fashion Week, and also the Portugal Fashion Week- in 2014 she debutes with her first collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin and the Fashion Scout in London.

DESIGN AND HANDICRAFT Marina Hoermanseder’s collection unifies progressive cuts with elements of wonder, experimenting with sharpened contrasts and playing with the beauty of the unusual. Leather corsets accurately adjusted and elaborate finaos combined with fluid and delicate fabrica, revealing the individual signature of the designer. Its slender silhouettes and subtle details such as leather straps, buckles, zippers and rivets create an interactive game between the avant-garde and prêt-à-porter with her particular extravagant aesthetics. Marina Hoermanseder attracts her inspiration from sources such as orthopedic corsets of the eighteenth century, breaking with conviction through the “beautification” of ugliness, evoking a distinct charm. Each and every one of the pieces in the collection collect the highest craftsmanship level with elegance and eccentricity and the pasión for the detail is exhibited even in the tiniest of the elements.
