Acclaimed Swiss contemporary artist Urs Fischer reinterprets the Louis Vuitton monogram to create a wide range of leather goods, ready-to-wear garments, shoes and accessories. The collaboration also features a series of animated characters created by the artist.

Swiss artist Urs Fischer has more than 20 years of experience as an artist, working in sculpture, photography, drawing, painting and publishing. Considered one of the most important contemporary artists today,he is noted for his large-scale sculptures and installations. His works are considered to be influenced by anti-art movements such as Neodadaism.

In this collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the artist has remodeled the brand’s classic Monogram of flowers and LV initials in new enlarged and distorted versions he calls “memory sketches.” In Fischer’s words: .

Given the ubiquitous status of the Louis Vuitton Monogram, I chose to draw it by hand in a really spontaneous way, almost as if I were drawing it from memory.

The result is a collection with new motifs meticulously adapted to each garment, changing in size, perspective, color and application technique.

Combinable with the different types of footwear shoes: sneakers, ankle boots and moccasins and original accessories: earrings, shawls, scarves, scarves and glasses.
