A limited edition capsule collection composed of garments and accessories to celebrate Studio Ghibli’s masterpiece “My Neighbor Totoro” created in 1988.
The film “My Neighbor Totoro”, filmed by Studio Ghibli in 1988,is a cultural icon in the world of animationn. It tells the story of two Japanese sisters Mei and Satsuki along with the magical Totoro and their interactions with friendly forest spirits in their country home.
The LOEWE x My Neighbor Totoro collection alludes to the film’s mythical settings. At the same time, it reinterprets its protagonists with a selection of garments, leather bags and accessories from the house. The collaboration shows, through fantasy, the importance of nature for humanity and the search for ways to live in harmony with the environment.

The love of craftsmanship and artisanal techniques creates a strong connection between LOEWE and Studio Ghibli. The house’s intarsia technique has engraved the Totoro characters on the surfaces of LOEWE’s most emblematic bags, such as the Hammock, the Puzzle or the Balloon; and on its smaller leather accessories such as wallets, covers and purses.

Studio Ghibli, more than 30 years of fantasy
Studio Ghibli was founded in 1985 by animated film directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. In its more than thirty years of existence, it has produced twenty-four feature films.
among which are “Chihiro’s Journey” (2001), “The Walking Castle” (2004) and “The Princess Mononoke” (1997). Studio Ghibli’s films have won numerous awards and accolades from film critics and animation specialists around the world. The studio’s latest film, “Earwig and the Witch“, is due for release in February.
