The brand LOEWE shows out in it store in the middle of Madrid “Calle Serrano” a hundred photographs of Tina Modotti (1896 – 1942), also exposed in the International Festival “PhotoEspaña 2015”.
The exhibition, entitled “Tina Modotti” offers a selection of photographic period of the artist, a work that reflects the visual acuity and the time in which she lived.
Tina Modotti was born in Udine (Italy) and when she was a young lady she emigrated to America where she met the man who was her partner, Edward Weston. In 1923 they moved to Mexico City where Tina captured the images that are the protagonists of the exhibition.
Tina Modotti, also famous for her sensibility toward human reality and her anti-fascist struggle, remains in the memory of all, thanks to her famous pictures of the indigenous people of Mexico and the portraits of her illustrious group of friends, among them we can find the famous painters and couple Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
It’s possible to visit the exhibition at LOEWE store until next August 30.
