La Prairie collaborates with six ÉCAL students to create sustainable packaging. Students were invited to develop luxury packaging for the Skin Caviar Luxe Cream product. The main idea was to create packaging with a sustainable approach made from innovative materials. At the same time, the packaging had to preserve the luxurious experience of the product and the essence of the brand.

La Prairie products are famous worldwide for their luxurious composition. Caviar, platinum, or gold are some of the ingredients used in their cosmetics. That’s why students were asked to design packaging that respected the preciousness of these products.

ÉCAL students applied design techniques and technology to create cutting-edge containers. The result has been impeccable: cases with vegan leather, packaging with biodegradable PaperFoam, or packages made of recyclable materials.

The first collaboration

This is the second year that La Prairie has teamed up with ÉCAL University for a joint project. In early 2021, they joined forces with the to promote the next generation of artists. The first collaboration was inspired by the birthplace of the House: Switzerland.

Furthermore, this initiative aims to enhance the values of creativity and craftsmanship that are essential to La Prairie. “Our partnership with ÉCAL, fueled by common values of creativity and innovation, allows for a meeting of minds. Working closely with the new generation of creative talents is an opportunity for our House,” comments Patrick Rasquinet.

La Prairie products can be found at the El Corte Inglés Diagonal shopping center, where a brand corner has been opened. This space features a public customer service area, as well as a product display area. Additionally, it also has a VIP box where products are showcased in more depth, and how to use them is explained.
