Continuous exposure to the sun, saltpeter from the sea and chlorine from swimming pools affect the health of our hair. Dryness, split ends, unwanted colors … are just some of the effects of summer on our hair. That’s why at Horse we offer 5 tips that will make recovering your hair after summer easier than ever:

Welcome hydration

Maintaining good hydration is the first step to success if you want to recover your hair after the summer. So come September you should choose products that give your hair an extra dose of hydration. The list of ingredients should include moisturizing and nourishing oils and butters.

Products from Hask’s Argan Oil line.

The Argan Oil and Coconut Oil lines Hask are perfect for this task. Each one consists of shampoo, conditioner, oil, mask… (argan or coconut) free of sulfates, parabens, thalates and alcohol. The argan oil line is repairing, indicated for dry and damaged hair, while the coconut oil line is nourishing and suitable for any type of hair.

Conditioners and masks to accelerate the recovery process

There are lines of shampoos enriched with moisturizing agents, but when our hair is damaged they are not enough. Conditioners and masks are specifically designed to deeply moisturize hair, give it strength and shine. In addition, you can select lines that suit other needs of your hair and use them as a treatment. There are conditioners for fine hair, thick hair, for hair loss, for colored hair… Choose the one that suits you best and use it regularly.

Oils are your best ally

Dehydrated and damaged hair needs a shock treatment. Conditioners and masks may not be enough. There are a multitude of treatment and styling products that can be used. The oils act as a serum and combat dryness;

Others focus more on appearance, such as Heat Protection Spray by Ouai, a heat protection spray that also adds body and texture to hair.

Comb hair with special care

Untangling your hair without breaking it is key to a beautiful mane, but it is not an easy task if you have fine, dry or damaged hair. To avoid breakage better comb it once dry and start detangling from the ends and work your way up to the roots;

Not just any comb will do. Choose one specially designed for detangling like those from Tangle Teezer. Its system features two lengths of tines: longer ones that detangle and shorter ones that massage the hair cuticle.

Adjusts water temperature

High temperatures damage the hair structure and promote breakage. Therefore, it is better to wash your hair with warm (or even cold) water, as it stimulates blood circulation and closes the cuticle. A step as simple as adjusting the temperature of the shower water can lead to healthier, shinier hair. To avoid damaging the hair fiber, the water temperature should be between 25 and 30 degrees.

If with the arrival of September you notice your hair more fragile, dry and damaged take advantage of these tips and submit your mane to a shock treatment. Recovering your hair after the summer has never been so easy.
