CHOPARD HAPPY DIAMONDS
Synonymous with joy, true to its name, since its creation, the collection Happy Diamondspresents a new watch. Inspired by one of the Happy Diamondsclassics: a watch on which fifteen moving diamonds circle around the dial. Sometimes concealed under a mother-of-pearl gallery, sometimes scattered like a cascade on the underside of the watch.
In 1976 the Chopard workshops drew inspiration from nature, from the beauty of waterfalls to give birth to the Happy Diamonds collection. A representation of the light reflections created by the splashes of a drop of water. .
On the one hand, with a diameter of 38 millimeters, the Happy Diamonds Joaillerie is presented on a gray brushed canvas strap matching the shade of Tahitian mother-of-pearl fitted with a rose gold buckle set with diamonds.
On the other hand, in the center of this accessory, designed in 18-carat pink ethical gold and dressed in Tahitian diamonds and mother-of-pearl, we find a first dial that marks the time with elegant golden hands. Surrounding this is a second dial on which fifteen diamonds move freely.
But, the most surprising thing about the Happy Diamonds watch is hidden behind the gallery located between 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock. This is where the diamonds can temporarily hide and when they emerge from this secret passageway they cascade down to the bottom in dazzling fashion.
The fame of these ingenious little diamonds helped them to be awarded the Baden Golden Rose of Baden-Baden, one of the most prestigious distinctions in the world of jewelry. Since then, over the years, they have created, through their many transformations, a true legend.
