Declared herself as a Havaianas fan since childhood, Charlotte Olympia has said that she wants to “share the collection with women all over the world who want to add a touch of glamour, femininity and playfulness to their beachside outfit”. “Being half Brazilian Havaianas have always been a staple when on holiday. I am so excited to be able to add my creative stamp to a classic summer favorite”, has added the designer.

One way to transform the flip-flop sandals in a somewhat more sophisticated footwear is closing by the heel. This season Havaianas has incorporated the lines Luna, Luna Animals, Freedom and Flash Urban with rear fastening. In these four models, the rubber strip wraps around the foot, thus presenting innovative and special designs for the city that are more feminine, comfortable and elegant.
The Freedom line is the easiest, with a central strip and the characteristic motifs of rice grains. It is available in five colors, one more than the range of Flash Urban whose strips shaped design with six, manages to surprise in a subtle and chic form at the same time.
Luna sandals stand out for their innovative line-of-eight, which transforms the traditional Havaianas in a much more versatile and combinable shoes for long summer days. Luna Animals version is available in four different animal prints on the sole and, as well as the footwear trend for this summer 2016, in metallic colors.

Brazilian brand Ipanema has made a collaboration with renowned industrial designer Philippe Starck. In their joint collection Ipanema with Starck, they propose a minimalist and elegant style for summer 2016 that they have defined as “sophisticated chic”.
Philippe Starck‘s contribution stands out for a clean design with pure lines which aims to enhance a modern woman with artistic concerns. The color palette is a mix of neutral tones like white, black and pink, with other citrus like acid yellow, orange, and their transparent versions.
