Museums have become a new form of expression for fashion. In its open spaces where art finds its place in the world march patterns, drawingsmannequins, photographers, dresses that made history and unforgettable names in design. 2015 arrives escorted by an extensive program of exhibition proposals that demonstrate the profitable relationship between Fashion & Art.
1- ALEXANDER McQUEEN: ‘SAVAGE BEAUTY’ / 14th MARCH – 19th JULY / Victoria & Albert Museum · www.vam.ac.uk
The Victoria & Albert Museum will collect from March 14th to July 19th one of the most promising shows of the year. With more than 200 drenes, London pays tribute to the fascinating oneiric universe of the designer, who still makes us shudder by its strange beauty.

With her angelic face, this unforgettable actress conquered not only the best directors and actors in the world, but also photographers like Richard Avedon, Cecil Beaton and Irving Penn. She poseed foro them, leaving for posterity unique portraits showing the beauty and timeless elegance of one of the most famous actresses of all time and which this year brings together the National Portrait Gallery in London.

The Victoria & Albert Museum in London will host from June 13th until January 2016 one of the most curious exhibition of the season. The exhibition features more than 200 pairs of historical and contemporary shoes in order to examine the power of the shoe in the fashion world. The mix is diverse: from the pairs of Queen Victoria to the models of the sixteenth century. At the Grand Palais in Paris, comes the international exhibition of the life and work of Gaultier. The City of Light has a plural retrospective encompassing the life and work of Gaultier through his designs, runways, performances and an special edition with his unpublished works.

Paris pays its particular tribute to Jeanne Lanvin, the woman who started as a milliner up to build one of the most important houses of haute couture of the twentieth century. Turned into one of the most famous female designers and responsible of breaking some myths about the dress of women, this exhibition focuses on reviewing the creative ideology and expansion of the brand from its origins to the arrival of the new creative director Alber Elbaz.
6- CHINA: ‘THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS’ / 7th MAY 16th AUGUST / Metropolitan Museum of Art · www.metmuseum.org
As every year, the exposition of the MET becomes the main attraction of the season. This 2015 looks to the Far Eastern exploring the influence of imaginary Chinese in fashion, art and Western cinema. From May 7th to August 16th will be shown by the iconic museum of New York some designs by Tom Ford x Yves Saint Laurent or John Galliano x Dior, Paul Poiret, Louis Vuitton and many others, inspired by the always fascinating culture of a mysterious country: China.

New York shows the first exhibition analyzing the influence that both artists had in fashion during the 70s and how their creative universes were united by an era that made history.

Presented at the Staatliche Museum in Berlin, ‘In Your Face’ is an approximation to the world and the production of the famous Peruvian photographer. This year, from January 20th to July 26th, the German capital shows a selection of his most daring and iconic images, allowing the viewer to establish a connection with the works of this laureate artist.
9- HELMUT NEWTON: ‘PERMANENT LOAN SELECTION’ / 27th NOVIEMBRE (2014) to 17th MAYO / Helmut Newton Foundation · www.helmutnewton.com
Also in the German capital, the foundation dedicated to preserving the photographic legacy of Helmut Newton, recovers more than 200 new works that remain to date in the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. Through this retrospective, visitors will discover the work of this German photographer, described as sexual and transgressor, creator of porno chic and maximum representative of voyeurism in photography.

The Fashion Museum in Antwerp, hometown of the designer, invites you to take a personal and intimate journey through the unique world of the creator. From February 13th to July 19th, the MoMu with delicate subtlety will reveal their influences, of the world of decorative arts and music, in an attempt to present the entire creative process
