In an emblematic setting, the Torres Brothers’ restaurant opens in the Gastronomic Balcony of Barcelona’s Olympic Port to offer quality produce with minimal handling and more than 400 wine references.

Eldelmar is a place to recapture the spirit of good food with after-dinner conversation, the Mediterranean in sight and a quality product as the basis of an experience for all five senses.

The alliance between the Torres Brothers with Pantea Pishkoohani and Ramón Rodríguez CEO of Pantea Group was born some time ago after being regular customers of their three-starred restaurant: Cocina Hermanos Torres and when the opportunity arose to open a new restaurant in the Port Olímpic they knew that Sergio and Javier were the ideal partners to take this project with their touch and personality.

Healthy food with seasonal produce

Sergio and Javier Torres invite us to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine, based on top quality ingredients and minimally manipulated to preserve the authenticity and flavour of the food.

Their menu, which includes reinvented classics such as Caesar salad and patatas bravas with a Torres touch, Russian salad with tuna escabeche. Rice and canned noodle rossejat in individual portions. Fish of the day such as sea bass tartare, monkfish and squid suquet, cod loin cooked in broth with Santa Pau beans or grilled or baked wild fish from the fish market.

From meats, the rack of lamb cooked at low temperature with baker’s potatoes, the T-bone steak or the grilled Wagyu cheesburger.

The preparation of these dishes plays with vegetables and broths in the purest Torres style that invites us to appreciate the natural flavour of each food to the maximum.

The restaurant has a glassed-in interior space with a terrace with tables facing the sea, and on the other side there is a bar with raw food proposals such as oysters, caviar or steak tartar, as well as 100% Iberian ham, a selection of cheeses, olives or matured picaña.

The premises have been designed by Trenchs Studio to evoke the essence of the Mediterranean with a palette of warm, natural colours and a nod to the sea wind represented by windmills on the ceiling.

Eldelmar’s wine list pays tribute to marine wines

Xavi Nolla, the sommelier of the Pantea group has been buying small collections for more than two years, difficult to find from the most radical wine of the small local producer to the best known wine of the big international producer, but all of them are linked by the Mediterranean and Atlantic wine-growing regions.

Sustainability is one of the cornerstones of El Balcón Gastronómico del Puerto Olímpico

The Gastronomic Balcony of the Olympic Port is a sustainable space committed to the citizens with different installations such as the photovoltaic pergolas that, apart from generating energy from renewable sources, provide shaded areas that favour the well-being of the citizens.

The Eldelmar restaurant, along with the other three on the upper level of the pier, have green roofs, bioclimatic elements that, in addition to naturalising the environment and enhancing biodiversity, provide thermal and acoustic insulation in the premises.
