Six Senses Ibiza: New oasis of disconnection
Six Senses lands for the first time in Spain, and does so by opening its doors in our emblematic Ibiza. Six Senses Ibiza opened its doors on the 10th of July , with the aim of being a unique and perfect destination for visitors. The complex, conceived by architect Jonathan Leitersdorf, is located in Cala Xarraca, on the northern tip of the island. Offering local products, art, music, sustainability and wellness, the resort seeks to connect the traditions and values of Ibiza. In addition, together with innovation and creativity, they create meaningful experiences for each guest.
Conveying the values of the brand, they have designed the complex in the most sustainable way, using renewable energy and with zero waste and zero single-use plastics targets. In this way, they have achieved BREEAM certification, the first resort community in the Balearic Islands to do so.
Six Senses Ibiza is a reflection of the natural vibrancy and vitality of the Balearics. We have created a truly transformative environment where guests are invited to connect meaningfully with nature and each other, while discovering the elements that make Ibiza unlike anywhere else in the world,” explains architect Jonathan Leitersdorf.
Healthy haute cuisine
Organic ingredients and seasonal produce are at the epicentre of HaSalon Ibiza’s gastronomy. Led by chef Eyal Shami, the bars and restaurants offer innovative dishes but with traditional flavours – in fact, for Shami the aim is to let the food do the talking.
The open kitchen allows guests to experience every dish first-hand with the chef. From wood-fired pizzas at Farmer’s Market to traditional coffees and pastas to Ibizan mixed cuisine with Mexican-Peruvian cocktails at The Orchard. And don’t forget the nourishing mixology experiences at Live Cave, Twin Bar and Farmacy Bar, with organic elixirs, wines, spirits and juices. In addition, this summer, to celebrate the opening of the resort, there will be the Japanese cuisine restaurant Bondst, a renowned New York dining destination.
Physical and mental wellness experiences
Our days of relaxation at Six Sense Ibiza are packed with experiences and activities, especially with the physical and mental wellbeing of our guests in mind. From exclusive treatments to biohacking that optimises the body’s natural recovery. The fitness area, The Rose Bar, comes into conjunction offering nutritional guidance and new methods to improve health. The 1200 m2 space also features a yoga area, an outdoor boxing ring, steam room and hot baths.
Following on from these mind and body activities, Six Sense Ibiza is offering multi-day immersions from September. Grow a New Body with Dr. Villondo and Journey to Deep Transformation with Marisa Peer are some of the activities that can be enjoyed and will help to align mentally. As for the immersions, YogaFlow and BodyFlow are two that will take place between the 20th and 26th of October. Good movements and connecting with oneself is paramount in our life, in this way, the instructors will guide us to reach our goals.
Sensory experiences
Music and art is also a fundamental element in the complex. Through it we connect with ourselves and with what surrounds us. A magic that we should feel every day, and at Six Sense they do. Using the latest advances in technology, every corner of the resort is designed to create immersive sensory experiences. Live musical events and performances representing cultures from around the world bring more of the world to life, encouraging diversity through fun. As a finishing touch, Beach Cave has a DJ booth created specifically for vinyl where guests can enjoy first-hand the mixing of the music.
The visual arts are represented in the public spaces and in the galleries of the complex’s corridors. Each of the 18 gallery concepts, curated by Magnum Photo, has an individual message that aims to deeply inspire visitors.
Escapes to nature
You don’t have to travel far to find magical and enchanting places, Ibiza is one of them and that’s why it’s renowned the world over. Its waters and forests enchant visitors, and there are many outdoor activities on the island. Six Senses Ibiza starts with a catalogue full of experiences in nature, touching land or, if you prefer, sailing the sea.
One of the best ways to experience the beauty of the island is on foot. Surrounding the resort are various trails, little-known beaches and bays, rugged cliffs and pine forests. Guests can discover every nook and cranny with guided tours, accompanied by splendid sea views. This tour can also be done by bicycle for cycling enthusiasts.
As for water activities, along Cala Xarraca there are ancient rock formations and small caves that can be discovered by paddle surfing in groups or privately, or by kayak. You can also sail along the coast aboard a monohull sailing yacht and enjoy the sea breeze until you reach the private island of Tagomago. This tour can also be done on a solar-powered catamaran.
Finally, if you are looking for more adrenaline and less relaxation, the cliff jumping and diving experiences are the best. Always accompanied by experienced guides, we can jump from cliffs 1 to 10 metres high, or explore the marine flora and fauna under the sea.
Accommodation with sea views
The resort has 116 rooms, suites and cave suites, as well as Villages Residences, ideal for large groups or longer stays. Perfectly designed with attention to detail, guests can enjoy the view just by opening the window or relaxing on the patio.
In fact, guests can create their own exclusive space at the resort, with properties for sale. Perfectly designed to ensure year-round Ibizan living, they are a part of Six Sense Ibiza, with exclusive access to all services, plus additional benefits for their stays.

Ecorkhotel Évora: an experience that immerses you in yourself
Ecorkhotel Évora, the world’s first hotel built in cork, presents The Renewal, the first wellness retreat to be launched from 7 to 13 October this year in Portugal. For one week, 50 yoga enthusiasts will be able to experience the journey and raise awareness of sustainability, community and self-care. This fits perfectly with Corc Yoga’s ideals of sustainability.
They will enjoy a variety of workshops and classes connecting body and soul, with a flexible itinerary tailored to each visitor. In addition, this connection with oneself and getting to know those who accompany you, will be accompanied by a great gastronomic plan that will not leave anyone indifferent. Exclusive wine and olive oil tastings and meals with ingredients from local farms will be a great opportunity to appreciate Portuguese and Mediterranean cuisine.
“Corc Yoga was born in Portugal. After a family trip, I wanted to find a way to give thanks for all it had to offer, as it was a healing journey for me and mine. With its effervescent cultural offerings, sprawling beaches and the warmth of its people, Portugal is one of the jewels of Europe. The word ‘Renewal’ means rebirth and, for me, being here was the rediscovery of that adventurous girl who had been silenced for so many years. In essence, this magical place allowed me to feel alive again. It was my renewal,” explains Christine Moghadam, the initiator of the project.
Ecorkhotel Évora is totally linked to sustainability, they have geothermal pools, solar panels and offer the best services in an ethical way. In fact, this first edition will have a solidarity component: 5% of each booking will go to the Youth Mental Health Project in the United States and Desafio Jovem in Portugal. In the same way, Corc Yoga aims to form a sustainable and committed community, so they are working and are still in talks with other hotels around the world to achieve this.

Lavender Experience: Guadalajara hides mauve corners
During the months of July and August, Brihuega, a small town in Guadalajara known as El Jardín de La Alcarria, shows its natural charm with lavender fields in bloom, spring water fountains and wide parks. Each summer season and the flowering season transport visitors to enjoy with all five senses, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Within this small corner of Castilla la Mancha, we find Niwa Hotel & Spa, one of the most awarded resorts in Spain. Its great quality service, safety and relaxation connect with visitors, and offer unique experiences surrounded by an ephemeral landscape.
The resort offers treatments using lavender, something that has been done since ancient times. The flower has high therapeutic benefits; it reduces anxiety, blood pressure, improves insomnia, relieves headaches or helps to eliminate muscle tension. It also prevents and avoids hair loss, and its aroma intoxicates visitors. Niwa Hotel&Spa has wanted to extend all year round this charm offered by the land itself with its Lavender Aromatic Pindas Massage. An autochthonous treatment based on the flower and pure essential oil of lavender, lavender and lavandin from La Alcarria.
An experience made with pindas, small handmade sachets of hand-picked flowers and herbs. These are steamed and placed on strategic points of the body and face. Together with the essential oils, the therapists will perform the treatment with the shiatsu massage technique. As we have already mentioned, the therapy quickly promotes physical and mental relaxation, as well as being a powerful detoxifier for the lymphatic system. High daily workloads weaken our body, and it is necessary to hydrate and nourish our physique. For this reason, we accompany you and discover the 3 sustainable luxury hotels for wellness lovers.
