Dior Men presents a new ski collection together with the artist Peter Doig, combining functional designs with works by the painter
The ski season is here. Which means that brands and designers are presenting new collections for the king of snow sports. Under the direction of Kim Jones,Dior Men launches a ski capsule that perfectly combines design and functionality. Mountains and outdoor escapades become the inspirational landscape for this collection presented in collaboration with artist Peter Doig.
The capsule collection stands out for its wrap-around fabrics embellished with prints exclusively crafted by Doig for Dior. It’s not the first time the artist has collaborated with the Maison, as in 2021 they also teamed up for a winter capsule. Doig is known for his figurative paintings, with works framing everything from semi-abstract landscapes to human figures inspired by photography and his personal experiences. In addition, he also had a small link with fashion working as a decorator at the English National Opera.

Among the pieces included in the collection we can find knit sweaters, technical pants and puffer jackets, among others. In a retro mood that harkens back to the bold aesthetics of the ’80s and ’90s, Doig’s masterpieces adorn the brand’s garments.

“For this new men’s ski capsule, we’ve been working again with Peter Doig and I think the result is simply beautiful. The collection is a mix of fashion and outerwear, the perfect ensemble for ski season,” Jones said in a statement, according to WWD magazine.

In this icy symphony, Dior does not limit itself to clothing. The brand presents a snowboarding board, product of a collaboration with AK Ski. Adorned. again with anillustration by Peter Doig, where the beauty of the winter landscape is celebrated. In addition, there are also must-have ski accessories, such as helmets, with two different designs, and ski goggles.
