From June 6 to 9, the Santa Bárbara Palace will hold cerARTmic, a contemporary art fair dedicated entirely to ceramics.

Madrid is the epicenter of art at the national level. Every year, the capital hosts multiple fairs and events, in addition to having hundreds of galleries. Within this ecosystem, contemporary art has a fundamental role. However, it is the first time that we will be able to see a contemporary art fair dedicated entirely to ceramics. This is cerARTmic, which will be held from June 6 to 9 at the Palacio de Santa Bárbara. Its strong commitment to this discipline consolidates at the local level what is already a global trend, giving a turn to innovation. It does so based on five essential values: tradition, innovation, sustainability, quality and closeness.

The 15 participating galleries, references in national art

A total of fifteen galleries will participate in this first edition of cerARTmic. This is Alarcón Criado with the works of Cristina Mejías, Alegría y Piñero and MP & MP Rosado; Albarrán Bourdais with Claudia Comte and Héctor Zamora; Alzueta with Klas Ernflo and Luis Vidal; AR Contemporary Project by Paloma de la Cruz and Ana & Betania, or Carlier Gebauer with pieces by Leonor Serrano Rivas, Laure Prouvost, Thomas Schütte and Luis Gordillo.

Also Modus Operandi with the pieces of Ana Rod; Nordés with Pablo Barreiro and Mar Ramón Soriano; Ponce & Robles with Patricia Camet and Verónica Moar, and finally the Rosa Santos gallery with Marina González Guerreiro and Sandra Mar.

A meeting between collectors, curators, artists and art lovers with several awards

cerARTmic will be a space for reflection and inspiration for all those people who enjoy contemporary art, luxury or crafts, and also for those who dedicate themselves to this field: artists, curators, collectors…

But beyond being a meeting between all of them, the fair will offer several acquisition prizes for some of the best national art collections, such as the Rucandio Collection, the Juan Várez Collection, the Studiolo Collection, Casa de Indias, the Lázaro Collection or the Digood Collection.

You can enjoy ceramic workshops and other activities

During the four days, the cerARTmic fair will also offer several Do it yourself by Alhambra ceramic workshops, taught by prestigious artists such as Nuria Blanco and Asis Percales, and by local artisans from Castilla la Mancha.

Routes through Madrid will also be organized to discover the presence of ceramics in the city, and round tables with the participation of recognized personalities from the world of culture and art.
Likewise, there will be visits to some of the studios of the most renowned ceramic artists, such as Nicole Furman.

The presence of brands at the fair

In addition to hosting dozens of national and international artists, cerARTmic will have the presence of sponsoring brands such as Toyota, Bodegas Moro, Guerlain, The Social Hub (where the official cerARTmic party will be held) or K-Way (which will dress the entire fair staff).
