In the midst of celebrating the 160th anniversary of the Louis Vuitton house, New York hosted the campaign “The Icon and the Iconoclasts” beginning on October 15th throughout early November, honoring the universal symbol of luxury through the many expressions of art.

The project involved a representation of the iconic monogram of the house through the eyes of six legendary creative “iconoclasts” – Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Rei Kawakubo, Marc Newson, Cindy Sherman and Frank Gehry – to portray their own take on what the Louis Vuitton symbol represents both individually and globally.

“Celebrating Monogram” revealed the distinctive signature of each creative mind combined with the true meaning of the fashion house, each of them presenting a unique design that embodies their vision as artists.
