Cartier pays tribute to design and exhibits at the Casa de Vacas Cultural Center in Madrid, its most emblematic creations of the Maison making a historical tour of contemporary and classic pieces.
The Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas del Parque del Retiro is hosting the Pavilion of Design until June 20. An exhibition in which the brand brings together, for the first time, the most emblematic creations of the Maison: Santos, Tank, Trinity, Love, Juste un Clou, Panthère and Ballon Bleu. In addition, they exhibit different vintage pieces of the Cartier Collection as the Love bracelet of the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, or the Nail bracelet designed by Aldo Cipullo in 1971.
Visitors will be immersed in the history of the brand, discovering the evolution of the design of the creations over time. In addition, the audiovisual installation #MyCartierDesign invites them to actively participate in it. Making protagonist of an interactive experience, arousing curiosity and inviting them to reflect on the representation of each design. In the same space, there are a large number of testimonies of personalities from different professional fields such as Quim Gutiérrez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, Nuria Roca, among others. They will narrate their personal and emotional bond with the brand’s designs.
Iconic watches
Alongside the main pieces on display we make a historical journey of the evolution of jewelry. The Ballon Bleu de Cartier emerged in 2007 with a new vision: to give more volume to the circle of the watch. Tank, that in 1917 the watch was inspired by military tanks. In 1904 it was created from Santos, square wristwatch, at a time when watches were round.
