It will be held from 16 to 26 October in various partner venues and public spaces around the city.

Barcelona Design Week is one of the most important design events in Barcelona. A breeding ground for creativity and inspiration for designers and non-designers alike, this year it celebrates its 19th edition from 16 to 26 October with a programme of more than 140 activities. They are aimed at companies, professionals, students and the general public both locally and internationally.

Under the slogan ‘Design for Human Future’, BDW 2024 explores the connection between human creative talent and the natural environment, with a special focus on water. The ultimate purpose of this edition is to emphasise how design can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contribute to building a more sustainable future.

This last talk will feature artist Ferdi Alici, Director of Ouchhh. It will be the presentation of the first space painting of artistic AI data in space, a great success of Ouchhh Studio in space with ‘HUMAN CELL ATLAS: Spatial Painting of Humanity’s Neuroorganismic AI Data’.

Meanwhile, as part of the Terra Rossa exhibition, there will be a round table to highlight the creative process of the participants in the exhibition, which commemorates the rich tradition of ceramics in Catalonia and its influence on the world of contemporary design. The artists Jaume Ramírez and Eloi Bonadona will participate, accompanied by the curator Julia Esqué and moderated by Alessandro Manetti.

Barcelona Design Week is organised by Barcelona Centre de Disseny and curated by Alessandro Manetti, with the support of Barcelona City Council and Disseny Hub Barcelona. It is also a member of the global network World Design Weeks, an organisation based in Barcelona that brings together more than 40 international events in the field of design and creativity.
