Platforms

They are trendy in a variety of styles, whether in the form of platform sandals with an ankle strap like the satin shoes by Versace or the peep toe from Moschino. In boots with square toe cap and silver finish by Ami, or toe cap made of almond and metallic finish by Molly Goddard. Finally, an original boot by Prada, with a seventies-inspired jacquard motifin geometric shapes.

Sandals with socks

The trendy combination for this autumn: sandals with socks. We see the heeled sandals with ankle strap closure and square toe from DSquared combined with thin socks, or the sandals from Acne, which feature straps specially created to adapt to thick socks. Molly Goddard joins the trend by presenting her knee-high socks in a jacquard pattern of black and orange diamonds.

Musketeer boot

Musketeer boots are back with a vengeance this season. Boots that extend above the knees, their name comes from the boots worn by French musketeers in the 17th century. In spartan style with lace-up fastening at the back like the leather Rick Owens boots or leather boots like those by Etro, Elisabetta Franchi and with a shearling lining finish by Acne Studios.

Fuzzy slippers

Another autumn shoe trend for 2021: fuzzy slippers. Furry and comfortable slippers to complete your looks this autumn. From polyester and leather designs like Staud or borgo and calfskin like Proenza Schouler. Even Chloé‘s colourful, wavy slippers, made from recycled cashmere, contrast with Altuzarra‘s flexible black leather.

Cowboy boots

As the name suggests, these were the historic boots worn by cowboys, because they made it easier to get on and off a horse. On this autumn’s catwalks they appear as a trend both in a smooth style like Isabel Marant and Rachel Comey, with decorative embroidery like Johanna Ortiz and Rachel Antonoff or with chain detail like Private Policy..

Style slouch.

The slouch-style boots, another autumn shoe trend, are notable for their flexibility that allows the boot, whether knee-high or below the knee, to crease rather than remain upright. The Louis Vuitton knee-high boot in grained caprine leather is the brand’s reinterpretation of the biker jacket, detailed with metal studs on the tips and a double zip. We find different uses of leather: Ulla Johnson, with handmade tassels and leather laces; Sportmax with cracked leather and thick rubber soles; and Longchamp, with crocodile imitation leather.

Chain detail

The latest autumn shoe trend is chain detailing. Gold like the stiletto ankle boots in carded mohair by Gcds and the Tom Ford stilettos. Silver like the high boots by David Koma and the loafers by DSquared or white like the loafers by Longchamp.
