This new season has left us with some ideal head accessories. Meet the accessories that have flooded the catwalks of Haute Couture this SS21.

Here are 5 of the headwear trends for SS21 that have taken the runway shows by storm:

1-Bucket hat, for a modern and versatile look.

This accessory, traditionally known as a fisherman’s hat, is a favorite for this season. The bucket hat adapts to any situation. We have seen it made of a thousand and one different fabrics and with different prints. Depending on the outfit that accompanies it and the type of fabric of the accessory, it can give a sporty touch to the outfit, or an elegant air. It stands out for its flexible brim and can be accompanied by long straps to make a bow and give it a retro air.

2-The bandana and scarf, a practical accessory

These two accessories take us back to the 70s and 90s. These classics are back with a new twist. The catwalks of this SS21 have left us with images of scarves and bandanas in different shapes and colors. These accessories stand out for their versatility and the infinite ways to wear them. With a bow under the hair, ‘headband mode’, with frills and reliefs added at the top of the scarf, bandana style with a bow on the forehead or scarf mode, covering the entire head, are the most trendy shapes.

3-The Parisian beret, sweeping the world

This accessory is distinguished by its elegance and sophistication. Although its origins take us to the bohemian philosophy of the 20’s, the beret has become the protagonist of luxury brands. Normally, when we think of this accessory, the wool knitted beret comes to mind, but the catwalks have left us with new designs that give it a modern look. Despite the new fabrics and prints, it is always accompanied by an elegant and classy outfit.

4-The hat, an irreplaceable classic

The various fashion brands have opted for the hat, as an indispensable accessory for this SS21.  Its different forms, are those that characterize this accessory. From the straight-brimmed hat, to the canotier, through the cowboy model. The hat stands out for its functionality and is adaptable to different scenarios. The straight-brimmed, for example, is usually found in more formal events, while the straw hat is more versatile, depending on the outfit that accompanies it can create a sophisticated and glamorous air or more casual.

5-The cap, a ‘must’ for this SS21

Luxury brands have decided to bet on caps, adapting them to more formal contexts. Often, when we think of a cap, the first thing that comes to mind is a sporty and informal accessory. But this is no longer the case. Many fashion firms have created their own designs both sporty and elegant. In this way, the cap has become a more versatile accessory, expanding its target. This, added to its utility, has made the cap a ‘must’ for this spring-summer.
