H&M goes one step further not only,  and not only focus on sustainability but also challenges the art world with a collection created from files centenarians fashion collections of the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris located at the Louvre.

For this Conscious Exclusive collection, the design team of H&M has also been inspired by the works of artists like Gustave Moreau, French painter precursor of Symbolism, to create the color palette of this collection, in where his paintings are reflected.

The result is a glamorous line with a touch of heritage given by the history.

Parisian Julia Restoin Roitfeld, art director, styling expert and advocate of sustainability, is the face of the campaign for this new collection.

Among the materials used for creating the Conscious Collection include organic silk, hemp, recycling flax or Tencel and innovative fabrics like Denimite, (a material obtained from recicled denim H&M) and recycled glass, which have created ornaments imitation pearls and diamonds.

The complete collection includes 35 garments and accessories for women available in 180 physical online stores. In Spain will be sold in Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca Valencia y Bilbao.

According to Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor of H&M: “The result is a collection with an authentic and unique spirit. It’s chacateristic becaus of the use of innovative and sustainable materials, as well as by ornamental details: a superposition of references, shapes and textures enhanced with accessories and jewelry ornately decorated in deco inspiration. “

The new spring/summer H&M Conscious Exclusivewill be available from April 7th coinciding with the opening of the  Fashion Forward 3 siècles de mode (1715-2016) exposition in the Museé des Arts Décoratifs from Paris.
